For this Reinforcement Assignment you will use everything taught thus far in the lectures and practice it in MS Project.

You attend a community college in Florida and are part of a student committee planning a blood drive. To demonstrate your project management skills you have decided to use MS Project to plan it, that way you will have another component to your resume portfolio when you graduate next semester. The college leadership would like to hold the blood drive in October, and if it going to be later than that they may not allow the event to happen on campus. Using the following information, plan your proposed project.

1. Open a blank file and save it as Reinforcement Assignment 1 [Your first and last name]. Complete the startup sequence as learned in class, and list your Project Start Date as August 29, 2024.
2. Due to your class and work schedule, you are only available to work on this Wed-Fri from 8:00am 12:00pm. On the Project Tab, click Change Working Time, click the Work Weeks Tab and then click Details. Select Monday and Tuesday and change to Non-working time.
3. Choose Wednesday through Friday and change the time available to that mentioned above. Either Select Row 2 in the specific working times grid and click DELETE or delete both and start fresh.
4. Your college is closed for an all-staff development in-service day on September 27, 2024, so you will need to make that adjustment to the standard calendar as well. Click the Exceptions Tab in the Change Working Time box and Choose 9/27/24 as the start and end date for the in-service.
5. Enter the following tasks and durations into the Gantt Chart Entry Table (no linking yet):

1. Looking at the Gantt Chart, you realize you cant publicize the blood drive without creating materials. Add a task above it called Create promotional materials with a duration of 5 hours.
2. Next, you think that visitor parking passes should happen after the reminders go out. Click the row of Get Visitor Passes and while holding the mouse, drag it below the Email reminders task. Release the mouse. It should now be in the correct order.
3. After Publicize the Blood Drive, insert a task called Contact Local Businesses with a 6 hour duration. Add a note to this task by double clicking on it, and adding the note of Contact webmaster to place blood drive info on college website.
4. Add a milestone at the end called Blood Drive Begins by either inserting a milestone or adding a task with a 0d duration.
5. Link all tasks with a F-S relationship.
6. Change the relationship between email reminders and parking passes to end at the same time, as you will finish getting passes once they have all been reminded. This is a change to a F-F relationship.
7. You do not want to email reminders until October 9, 2024. Add a constraint to show it cannot start before this date.
8. Make sure your Gantt Chart fits on one page. Save it as a Project file and also Print to PDF to save as a PDF. Once you have finished the assignment, complete the chart below.
