For this project you will assume the role of a data analyst in a sports organization. You will need to determine what type of organization you will be$,$ in what sport, and at what level, before moving into the process of collecting, analyzing and presenting data to decisions makers with your organization.

Topic Generation

You will identify a specific department within your sports organization that you will be exploring data for. Your choices of sports organization and the department you'll be reporting to will help determine the subsequent data you collect and the kinds of questions you'll ask of the data. For instance, if you choose to be a professional baseball organization that reports to the marketing department, you will choose a different form of data analysis than a collegiate football data analyst working with scouting opponents. Your role and your organization will determine your data collection and subsequent analysis.
