You have been charged with creating a relational database using the data stored in the flat file spreadsheet. Part 1: Before creating the relational database, you decide to create a UML Class diagram based on the description of business process rules for the revenue cycle (below). Description of Business Process Rules for the Revenue Cycle at Wines Unlimited Sales employees can be associated with one to potentially any number of sales orders, but each sales order will only be associated with one particular employee. Customers can be associated with one to potentially any number of sales orders, but each sales order will only be associated with one particular customer. Each sales order includes at least one inventory item but also can include more than one. Each inventory item can be sold between zero and many times. Each invoice will pertain to a specific sales order number, but each sales order may pertain to zero or potentially many invoices. Each invoice may include any number of inventory items (but at least one) and each inventory item can appear on any number of invoices, but also none at all. Each invoice must be paid in full (no partial payments) and a cash receipt can be associated to at least one invoice, but also multiple invoices. Part 2: Now that you have your database diagram, you need to create the relational database in Microsoft Access. Import the flat files into Access. Format the fields appropriately (e.g., dollars should be in currency format) and designate primary keys. Create all appropriate relationships between tables (including relationship tables for many-to-many relationships), designating all appropriate foreign keys, and enforcing referential integrity where applicable.
