Mindolo Ecumenical Center $($MEC$)$ has advised its suppliers that it was going to introduce e$-$procurement in its operations after six months so as to enhance the efficiency and transparency of its procurement system. MEC cited the following shortcomings in the current system:

$($i$)$ Buyers creating an uneven playing field for suppliers by deciding which companies to invite to tender or quote;

$($ii$)$ Possible collusion between buyers and suppliers leading to inflated prices; and

$($iii$)$ Requests for Quotations $/$ Invitation for Bids do not always reach all eligible suppliers.

As the Project Manager,

$($a$)$ Discuss with the usage of examples, how e$-$procurement will address the short$-$comings. $]$

$($b$)$ What possible objections would the Zambian suppliers have against the introduction

of e$-$procurement and what would be the possible solutions?
