Identify the fundamental principles and practices of project management in an organization.
Describe the key elements of a project and a role of a project manager.
Demonstrate the ability to create project documentation, including a project plan and Work Breakdown Structure WBS
Itemize and explain the critical success factors to a project.
Describe key elements of project scheduling through a WBS and the management of project risks.
Estimate time and cost for a project and develop a project management plan.

Overview
Theres a common saying: failing to plan is like planning to fail Project Management requires a great deal of planning before executing any project. In this assignment, you will have the opportunity to apply what theyve learned in class through a short presentation on one of the supporting plans listed below. The goal is to give you practice and prepare you for the Major Group Presentation.
Instructions
Each group will put together one supporting plan in the form of a PowerPoint presentation PPT using the scenario described below.
Scenario
You are the owner and Project Manager PM of ABC Construction Company. Your company specializes in designing highquality, customized homes in the Greater Toronto Area GTA You have just been hired by the Johnson family to build them their dream home. You run a small operation and there are only two employees; you as the PM and a parttime accountant. All of the other work eg electrical, plumbing, HVAC, drywalling, etc. gets outsourced and subcontracted to trade professionals in the GTA. Housing construction in the GTA is really growing. At the moment, you are scheduled to complete houses this year. You have promised the Johnson family that the final costs for their home will range from $ to $ It will take approximately five months to build their home as soon as groundbreaking starts. The Johnson family is on a tight budget and are wiling to delay the project to save costs.
Each group will now assume they are the PM for ABC Construction Company. However, each group will create a miniPowerPoint presentation based on only one of the following seven topics listed below. Topics will be assigned to each group by the instructor.
Note #: All groups MUST use at least three references to support their presentation. References can include videos, articles, case studies, textbooks. Do NOT use CourseHero, Wikipedia, CourseRaptor, or any other paid tutoring service. The sharing of academic college property through these types of platforms is considered an act of academic dishonesty. Use APA formatting when citing references.
