More and more companies and schools are utilizing laptops instead of desktop computers. A certified technician will need to know how to support laptops. Laptops are specifically different than desktops because of their size and portability. Because a laptop is designed for portability, the only components that can be upgraded in a laptop are the memory and the hard drive. All remaining items are not removable.
