Scenario fictional:
The GlobalHomeHealth GHH Corporation is a customized home healthcare services company in Orlando, FL The business was started by two technologysavvy nurses, Selena and Leann, years after graduating from nursing school at the top of their class. They considered themselves hardworking and confident but warm and friendly. After working several years as home healthcare nurses, they decided they could provide better home healthcare for patients by leveraging technology. They secured some investors and bought one of the first robot assistants at a discount since the robotics company used their robot as a test robotic assistant. Since Selena's father was a surgeon, he referred patients to his daughter's company. Within years, they were highly profitable and had employees and many robotic assistants.
GHH mission statement: We provide timely, highquality care to all our patients as we would our own family.
GHH values: We demonstrate that we value our employees, patients, investors, vendors, suppliers, insurers, and medical professionals with whom we interact.
Executive leadership provides many additional benefits to company stakeholders that demonstrate the company's values. All employees get a month of vacation, five holidays a year, and seven personalsick days yearly. Nurses only have three patients daily, so they can review medications and ensure they are comfortable. The robots or their laptops record the patient care they give to their patients so the nurses do not have to make any notes or reports at the end of the session. All reports are transcribed into a readable format based on their custom software program, and a copy is sent to the patient's physicians and insurance providers for review. Physicians can then send further instructions or refer them to other services.
Patients get more time with the nurses; investors get quarterly reports on the business's health. The vendors and suppliers get small gifts when they provide stellar service and get extended contracts. The insurers and medical professionals appreciate the timely reports organized in a manner that makes it easy for them to determine what should happen next.
Everyone is expected to be understanding, helpful, technology savvy, and highly professional.
