These large corporations generally have operations in multiple countries around the world and therefore have to develop strategies that are applicable to varying cultural, legal and economic environments. Likewise, the manner in which the corporation governs (controls) its subsidiaries and affiliates generally drives the execution of its strategy as well as monitoring results and revising strategy as required. Select and research an MNC. Post a graphic of its corporate structure. (The corporation, not the management organization chart). Then discuss what you believe would be the challenges of strategy implementation given the complexity of their structure. Note any ‘stumbles’ that this company may have experienced in rolling out new strategies.
