Then you will collect all the necessary information on that specific strategic alliance. 3. While doing your research your aim would be to find information that would explain following issues: a. The type, variety, scope etc of the alliance (see the slides for clues) b. How did they find their partners? c. The external drivers for joining a strategic alliance d. The internal motives (of the firms) for joining a strategic alliance e. The possible problems and risks the firms may face (or have faced) in relation to cooperation in strategic alliances (partners, costs, skills and competencies, trust, opportunism etc)
