My experience with feeling "locked" into a decision that I regretted was picking a job that I didn't really like. In the first phase: preediting, I was weighing out my options for what job I wanted to do over the summer. In phase : identifying one promising option, I was looking at a bartending job because it had more promising benefits than being a hostess. In phase : testing the promising option, I immediately applied to the bartending job and started the week after so that I couldn't think of the other job option. In phase four: fortifying the to be chosen option, the job itself was awful, the pay was not good and it was a dead bar so I did not get great tips or barely anyone would show up In hindsight I should have been a hostess, I would have made more money but I thought that trying something new, such as a bartender, would be fun and exciting. Therefore, I ignored all the downfalls and also only working part time so that I could learn a new skill and look at the bright and shinny idea that I had. I was "locked" into this situation because I only had two months left that I could work because I started looking for jobs late in the summer and I needed a job so I had to stick with whatever decision that I decided. Later on I ended up regretted the decision to work at that particular bar because I thought I would be making a lot more money that what I was making. Some critical thinking skills that I should have used to not get "locked" into a situation and if something like this would happen again; I would have each boss clarify what kind of work environment I would be working in and gather analyze all the information given by both jobs and not to go with the most exciting. After I analyzed the information given I should have evaluated my options and done what was best for me all around. Give a good example of how you would respond to this discussion statement
