My professor has been using this same material for over 5 years same question so I don't really know whether the question itself is insufficient. This is a theoretical physics question, from bachelors in physics department. We learnt set, group, field, vector space, torque, and he also said, for him, tension is not a vector because it is just how hard I pull the chord and not in which direction I pull it. So, I am really confused regarding this particular question.
