My topic is adding a new service line: Urology

You have been assigned to prepare a short report that analyzes market conditions for a new product/service line that ABC is planning to launch in the next six months. (For this assignment, please use the same company you have picked for Assignment 1.) Based on your conversations with the management you figured out that ABC managers would like to use primary and secondary data in their decision-making process and your job is to provide a memo that explains how you will conduct your research. Specifically, you need to provide an outline that explains the steps of the marketing research process you would take and what type of information (and their sources with brief descriptions) would be necessary to conduct this research. Since you are trying to impress your managers, you want to include as much information as possible but remember that you are NOT expected to prepare the entire report, just the outline with suggestions/ recommendations and references to the critical sources using bullet points, tables/figures and short phrases in a memo format (maximum two pages).

1. Formulate the Research Problem: What is the marketing problem/opportunity to be addressed by this research project. Please state the research problem in specific terms to help managers make decisions using the results of this research project.
2. Determine Research Design and Data Collection Method
   1. Secondary Data: Identify the secondary data sources. Be as specific as possible with your sources using the data sources we covered in our class videos and in Assignment 2.
   2. Primary Data: What type of primary data are you planning to use to address the research question? Why?
   3. Sample Composition: Describe the nature of the sample needed to complete the project. Provide suggestions as to how you are planning to reach this audience.
3. Analyses and Research Report: What types of analyses are required to develop the content of this final report? What information must the final report contain and how should it look?
