A detailed proposal to your professor identifying the business/industry and technology you are researching and explaining why your oral presentation will be of interest to your peers. Your proposal will be formatted as a memo to your professor. The body of the proposal should include:

1. Introduction: Identify the business and technology you are researching and will present to the class, the scope of your research and your presentation, and the main benefit for your audience (your classmates).

2. Background: Why is your chosen technology of interest to your peers? How will your presentation on this technology be helpful to your classmates? Why should this research project be approved?

3. Project description: Outline your research strategy. How have you ensured you have covered the topic completely and objectively? Outline your plan for your oral presentation. Summarize the sections and contents you think you will include.

4. Supporting material and individual (or team) credentials: Persuade your reader that you are able to complete this project and produce a polished oral presentation. What resources will you or have you used (consider the library, labs, and experts you have access to)? What skills, experience, and knowledge do you (and your team members, if working with a team), have to offer? Summarize the expertise you (or your team) bring to this project (be realistic; rely on the expertise developed through your studies).

5. Authorization: Persuasively request authorization for your oral presentation.
