Question: MyDietAnalysis ( MDA ) Purchase the MDA Access Code ( ISBN , the product identifier not a code, is provided in the syllabus ) .

MyDietAnalysis (MDA)
Purchase the MDA Access Code (ISBN, the product identifier not a code, is provided in
the syllabus). Record your athletes intake for 2 days, 3 days apart. Input this food log
into the MDA account you have set up.
Run the Actual vs. Recommended Analysis. Attach both days analysis (2 page
maximum for each day) by the Due Date listed under Information in Assignments on
Canvas. This is a prerequisite for the Final Product, and must be submitted and
approved before beginning the final project.
The Actual vs Recommended analyses submitted need to be representative of your
typical daily diet, which should be revealed through an appropriate calorie intake, and
from the foods contained in the MyFoodList. Entering last minute food items into the
MDA, in a random fashion, will not achieve this objective, and would invalidate the data
upon which your final project is based. For this reason, 23% of the final project is
assigned to the MyDietAnalysis (Actual vs. Recommended & MyFoodList), which must
be pre-approved, before you become eligible to start the final project. Low total calories
(unsustainable & therefore unrepresentative), or a food list revealing only 4 hamburgers,
would indicate the MDAs submitted are not representative, and would not receive full
credit. This assignment is time consuming, but to have any validity, the myFoodList
must be accurate and representative. An invalid MDA would result in the written final
project being invalid and having little value. Your name must be included under personal
on the printout, as the MDA is in your name.
ALSO INCLUDE, AS A SEPARATE FILE, YOUR MYFOODLIST (x2)(Based on the
food log you downloaded onto Canvas).
Ideally, both days you selected will have similar MDAs (actual vs. recommended). In
the event that they are not similar, which one is more representative? Another days
analysis might be required in order to establish which one is more representative.
Assessing the level of similarity should be based on have the major imbalances
changed rather than pure RDA percentages? For example, a similarity could be Day 1
vitamin E 12%, Day 2 vitamin E 35%, both days reveal vitamin E as likely representative
dietary deficiency. Should the figures be Day 1 vitamin E 12%, Day 298%, one day is a
major deficiency, the 2nd day is near perfect. Which day is representative? This will
necessitate a further days analysis. The 2 days of analysis you submit, should ideally
be similar. When you write up the final project, you will attach both of the MDAs,
justifying the selection of the one day you are basing your final project on. Actual vs.
Recommended Analysis is attached below.
When submitting your 2 MDAs (actual vs Recommended, and having decided, and
justified, your selection of the ONE day you are basing the final project on, you need to
highlight the 5-7 MAJOR imbalances you have selected. For example, you cannot
select an 87% deficiency and ignore a 12% deficiency. The exceptions are the B
