Need help if it's contract or not Question 28 (5 points) John

Question 28 (5 points) John is a recent graduate of MRU and has owned and operated a catering business in Calgary for less than a year. Because it is new and small he does not have an office or a dedicated business email and often works from his basement, although he sometimes goes to the public library or Starbucks. In his business he uses his old MRU email account as well as a Gmail account that he also uses to chat with friends or post things on-line, He has a website that lists menu items as well as prices. Fabiola is about to get married. She needs a caterer. John heard about this catering opportunity from a friend and sends Fabiola an email from is old MRU account offering his services. Fabiola was keen to use John and hired him for the job by sending him an email accepting his offer. She says she sent an email to his MRU account hiring him for the job. In the message she listed her choices for food items and beverages and promised to pay the resulting price. John doesn't see the email until 3 days after the wedding when Fabiola phoned him furious that he didn't show up. John feels bad but says it is not his fault and explains that at MRU he had a girlfriend named Fabiola and when they broke up she began harassing him so he created a filter that automatically redirected any emails containing the word Fabiola to his trash folder. Having forgotten about the filter when he opened his business, he had no idea Fabiola wanted to accept his offer. Did they have a contract? Why or why not
