need help with these two problems.

1) First one where we have to get "K" cannot equal. I did gauss-Jordan elimination, but i started getting insane fractions and got lost.

2) second one where we have to parameterize the solution, I put matrix in RREF and tried it, but did not seem to get the correct answer.
