Emily: Hi, I'm here today, interviewing Alex about his non-music streaming hobbies such as comedy, entertainment, news, and sports. Can you tell me a bit about your current lifestyle?

Alex: Hi. My name is Alex. I'm a 24 years old student from Venezuela. I'm currently studying at Boston University, and I am in my last year of University. Moreover, my interests are watching videos on video sharing company, and some in Twitch about gameplays and the news reports about the world.

Emily: Oh, it sounds interesting what you are saying, let's keep going with the questions.

Emily: What would come to your mind if I ask you about non-music content consumption?

Examples of non-music content: comedy, talk & entertainment, news & issues, sports

Alex: It comes to my mind any information that I might see on the phone or videos on Video sharing company.

Emily: Ok, more specifically, what non-music content do you consume? To what extent? How often? When and Where?

Alex: The type of content of non-music that I consume would be videos about traveling around the world, food cooking, and videogames gameplay. Therefore, I watch this content to learn more and to gain more experience now of doing it. I watch it in my free time during the day. Mostly between the online classes, or during my trip on the train around twice or three times a day, I check it.

Emily: Alright Geanni, going on with the question, can you please tell me what is the role of the video? How important is it for content consumption? How important is it as part of/complementary to audio listening consumption (mainly for non-music content?)

Alex: The videos' roles might change depending on the mood of what I want to watch at that moment. Moreover, I need to stress watching cooking, gameplays, or movies to relax and gain more knowledge. Regardless of that, I enjoy the complimentary audio for these types of content, which usually are mainly non-word sounds music.

Emily: What sources do you generally use for non-music content?

Alex: The sources that I use for non-music content would be Amazon prime for the audiobooks, podcasts, Hulu, Netflix, Twitch, Spotify, among many others.

Emily: Do you have loyalty to your current platform(s)? Why or why not?

Alex: I currently hold loyalty to the Video sharing company even when I am not paying the premium option. It is just all of the years using it, I got attached to the system, and the way of Video sharing company webpage works.

Emily: What features or attributes keep you with the platform?

Alex: Mainly, the idea of the recommendations of videos, which are most of the time accurate, keep me using the app.

Emily: What makes for an ideal platform? Any pain points with your current platform(s)?

Alex: I like the media, webpages, apps that don't mess up too much with your device, like notifications, location, and other types of permissions. I believe it is a very downhill detail for a new becoming platform.

Emily: What would come to your mind if I ask you about Sirius XM? Do you have any experience with the platform?

Alexi: I have never used this platform. However, I know of its existence, what they do, which does trigger some interest to consume from that platform.

Emily: Do you know that Sirius XM offers an app?

Alex: No, but since many of the big companies right now are offering apps for everything, it is something to suppose about. I believe the app provides access to a subscription that allows you to have premium things and other essential tools to help find non-music and music content.

Emily: Perfect Geanni, as I can see, you have some knowledge of how the app works, but the SiriusXM app allows you to try the premium option of the platform for free on your first account to guarantee that you get to use all of the features that the app has to offers.
