Activity 1 Students work on developing their resume using artifacts that they collected prior to class. Activity 2 Students work together with their partner to investigate and include social media on the resume. They will need to make sure their Facebook page is professional or use a Linkedin page that has no personal information on it and includes it in the resume. Pairs will peer review sites. Activity 3 Have students use Tweet MyJobs, a Twitter tool that connects job seekers and employers or twitterjobcast to search for job opportunities. Activity 4 Mock interviews: Using the cover letters completed prior to class, the student will interview for the job on the cover letter. A panel of 4-5 students will review the cover letter and bulleted list of information on the company chosen. Make as many groups of 4 - 5 students as in the class to have multiple panels. The panel will then conduct a mock interview of the candidate. Prior to the interview all student groups of 4 -5 will investigate how to conduct an interview and develop a set of 5 generic interview questions.
