Non-store Retailing This exercise will help you identify different types of non-store retailers. Most retailing examples such as corporate chains, department stores, and limited- and single-line specialty stores, involve store retailing. Many retailing activities today, however, are not limited to sales in a store. Nonstore retailing occurs outside a retail outlet through activities that involve varying levels of customer and retailer involvement. The six forms of nonstore retailing are automatic vending, direct mail and catalogs, television home shopping, online retailing, telemarketing, and direct selling.
