Objective: Evaluate ethics from a global perspective and discover how organizations can make a global difference through the integration of a biblical worldview.

As the marketplace becomes more global, it is important to examine how ethics are similar and different in various areas of the world. The aspect of different ethics brings up the question of moral relativism. Is there a standard ethical position, or is morality ever-changing? God provides a standard for Christians. Without God, where is the ethical standard derived?

The video Thought Leaders Forum: How do you Define Global Ethics? shows the diversity in how people view ethics or even if they feel that an ethical standard exists. The other video would contend that God has created an ethical standard the difference is not if it exists, but whether we try to live according to God's moral law.

• Complete the Self-Assessment (in the 3rd edition on p. 402-403) in Chapter 13 of Johnson (2016).
• Describe an ethical issue that has global implications.
  • Include in your discussion how different countries could address the issue.
  • Provide an understanding of changes that need to occur for business from different countries to be treated equitably in the global marketplace.
  • Provide the results of your Self-assessment and include how you see yourself fitting into a solution to the global issue
  • From a Christian worldview, what could you suggest that would encourage business and organizational leaders to operate their businesses/organizations ethically and remain profitable or viable in the current global economy?
