OBJECTIVE

In this assignment you will investigate the parallels between a selected element from the physical security

space and a corresponding counterpart in the cybersecurity space. By exploring these connections, you will

gain an understanding of the interplay between the two realms and how one area can influence practices in

the otherIn this assignment, you will begin by choosing a physical security element and explain its purpose. Discuss what

it could be used to prevent access to$,$ what mechanisms are used, what the strengths are, what limitations may

exist, and$/$or consider scenarios where it is the most important thing to have. You can also discuss the impact

of its absence or failure.

Then, research a corresponding cyber security element and explain what its purpose is$.$ Discuss what could be

used to prevent access to$,$ what types of software$/$hardware$/$code are used, what the strengths are, what

limitations may exist, and$/$or consider scenarios where it is the most important thing to have.

Lastly, create an analysis of how these two elements are alike. Consider both the elements$$ functionality,

shared principles, potential risks and vulnerabilities, how the two can be used together, and$/$or what they both

are looking to prevent or detect.
