Objective: The objective of this mini$-$project is to gain hands$-$on experience in configuring Frame Relay, a crucial Wide Area Network $($WAN$)$ technology, using Cisco routers. Through this project, you will understand the fundamentals of Frame Relay configuration and its application in networking scenarios, aligning with the objectives of the Cisco Certified Network Associate $($CCNA$)$ certification. Project Overview: You will configure a basic Frame Relay network using Cisco routers. This project will provide you with practical exposure to Frame Relay encapsulation, DLCIs, IP addressing, and routing configuration. Requirements: Topology Setup: $$ Use Cisco Packet Tracer or any network simulation software to create a network topology with three routers $($R$1,$ R$2,$ R$3)$ interconnected through a Frame Relay switch. $$ Configure the topology in a hub$-$and$-$spoke fashion, with R$1$ as the hub and R$2/$R$3$ as spokes. Configuration Tasks: $$ Configure Frame Relay encapsulation on the serial interfaces of all routers. $$ Assign IP addresses to the interfaces. $$ Configure Frame Relay DLCIs. $$ Implement basic routing using either RIP or OSPF. $$ Ensure connectivity between all routers. Documentation: $$ Document each step of your configuration process comprehensively. $$ Provide explanations for each configuration command used. $$ Include diagrams illustrating the network topology and Frame Relay connections. $$ Create a troubleshooting section highlighting any encountered issues and their resolutions.
