Part I: Screening for Stocks. Yahoo Finance is a nice free resource for finding data on stocks. There are others out there, but Yahoo Finance has a nice interface in the browser. Q1.1 At the screener, lets select Region = United States; Market Cap (intraday) = Mid Cap; Sector = Healthcare and Industry = Medical Devices. When the matching stocks populate, sort by Price (Intraday). a) Which is the most expensive stock in this list? b) Which has the largest market capitalization? c) In 20-30 words, whats the difference between these two? d) On what date did you collect this data?

Q1.2 Find a company that is US Small Cap, with Avg Vol (3 month) greater than 10 million and a current ratio between 1.5 and 3: a) What is the name the company? b) What is the stock ticker? c) In 20-30 words, what does this company do? d) On what date did you collect this data?

Q1.3 Lets say that you wanted to determine the value of a company that didnt pay any dividends and that earnings were negative. a) What problems would this pose with respect to the dividend discount model? b) How would a stock screener be useful here?
