Objectives

By successfully completing this assignment, students will demonstrate

Identify and explain students academic rights and obligations,

Describe the basic academic rules and procedures at Yorkville University,

Determine how a request should be made, and

Determine when and how the basic rules and procedures should be applied.

Instructions

The main topic of the case study itself is Academic Integrity and Honesty. First, download and read the Yorkville University Regulations carefully. Then, discuss with your group members to identify the rules and regulations that best apply to your case. Finally, collaboratively write a case analysis report.

Note to students: Issues are hidden within the case. It is your responsibility to read the case facts and identify the critical issues required for discussion and analysis. If you have any difficulties downloading the case document, contact the instructor for help.

Requirements

The case study report must include:

The problem (what are the main issue that can be identified in the case?)

Rules and procedures (what rules and procedures should be applied to the case?)

Rationale (why should the rules be applied?)

Provide a group solution (if a disagreement regarding the group solution arrives, please include it in the final report).

Additional Requirements

The written submission should be substantive, both in length 500-700 words and content, directly and thoughtfully addressing the question or issue.

The report should address each case question individually and the answers should be formatted in a manner where there is an introductory and a concluding paragraph. The report should also be free of spelling errors, be grammatically correct, written in full-sentences and contain full words (no shorthand, emoticons, etc.).

Responses must be well written, properly cited and referenced, and be free of spelling and grammatical errors.
