OBJECTIVES
For this assignment, you will write a 900-1200-word reflection paper where you reflect on the development of your writing process and writing skills over the semester.
Your goal is to respond to the question of:
How have I grown as a writer and improved my writing process from the first week of the semester to the final week of the semester?
Your reflection should discuss some insight you have gained into your writing style and/or process. It should address the strengths and weaknesses you discovered in your writing, and you should address how you can continue to strengthen your strengths and improve your weaknesses.
PROCESS
To achieve the goal for this assignment, you must complete the following requirements:
Set aside time to reflect on your experiences in the course. Identify important lessons, activities, or moments in the course that you may wish to include in your reflection.
Use a planning technique to establish an organizational pattern for the paper. Consider using chronological patterns, narrative, and lesson or activity patterns to establish a consistent pattern of information presentation throughout the paper.
Consider opening the paper with an introduction that identifies your goals for the semester and identifies how you achieved those goals throughout the course of the semester.
Aim to answer the following questions in the paper:
How would you describe your writing process at the beginning of the semester?
What are two strengths and two weaknesses as a writer you can identify before taking this course
What practices or lessons helped you to improve your writing process and skills throughout the course? Plan to identify at least three lessons or activities that were significantly impactful or beneficial for your development.
How do you plan to improve the process and skills you developed during this course beyond the limits of the course?
Develop a conclusion that summarizes the major points of your reflection and restates your plan for continued growth and development as a writer.
