The partners managing the business of Shining Star were very much impressed with the services of Mr. Abdul Rahman; they gave him the liberty to take decisions that seem to be appropriate for increasing the sales and revenue of the business. Mr. Abdul Rahman was delighted to know about this. After assuming the position, he informed the employees reporting to him to take efforts to increase the sales of the business. The Shining Star Perfumes Company deals in perfumes, natural flowers, wrist watches, kids' toys, attractive electronic products and many more such products. Mr. Abdul Rahman was eager to increase the sales of the business, he informed his section employees to put a lot of coloured papers in the bottom of the basket of flowers and asked them to arrange the best flowers on the top, the purpose was to create an impression that the basket contains many flowers. The customers were attracted to purchase the flower baskets; the baskets were beautifully designed to appeal to their taste. This idea allowed the business to increase the sales. Also, he informed his section employees to acquire ash obtained from wood burnt and mix it with Frankenstein material, with the larger proportion being of ashes. He asked the employees to put it in beautiful packages, insisting them to sell the set of two packages with a marginal discount of 5%. The customers were attracted to purchase more and more packages as they could get the item at 5% discount. This idea also favoured the business in earning more and more profits. 1.
