Years ago, I read a book called Generations at work: Old Farts and upstarts by Zemke, Raines and Fillpczak, In the book, they talked about how starting in the $1960\text{'}$s$,$ different generations were working closely together. Prior to this time, generations were separated by the positions that were held in the organization. For example, older people were the bosses, and the young people were lower on the organizational structure. These generations are motivated by different factors, and this sometimes results in generational conflict.
