As the first article states, progress on diversification initiatives has been slow and many organizations are still uncertain about how to effectively use diversity to support their value-creation goals. Why do you feel such progress has been slow? Do you feel the speed of such progress is too fast, too slow, or just about right? Why?
The second article shares projected demographic shifts through 2060. What did you learn about the projected demographic shifts? Did anything surprise you? If the projections are accurate, do you feel future organizations will be different than they are today? How? Also, what adjustments should organizations be making now to increase the likelihood of success in the future?
The third article utilizes the word "safe" when describing why we tend to hire people like ourselves. Do you agree with the author and feel that we tend to play it "safe" when hiring new people? Is playing it safe and good idea or a bad idea? Why?
