One specific way human resources can reduce potential risks to employees$$ health, safety and security would be to assign targeted safety training. Through the filing process of OSHA $300$a at my place of work we could discover what were the greatest causes of worker comp claims at each of the sites we oversee. A majority of the cases lended themselves to slip and fall claims. In order to limit that we assigned cause of injury specific training to those sites along with general safety training videos that contained a pass or fail quiz as well. We believe that showcasing how to prevent these injuries through videos and trainings, worker$$s compensation claims will be reduced substantially for the coming filing year.
