Your project team has been hired to develop system requirements for an exciting new opportunity. The concept is to merge the telecommunications network into the Internet by assigning every person a permanent and unique IPv6 address that will be used for telephone calls as well as Internet access. Not only will this take care of the future shortage of telephone numbers, but it will make possible one worldwide telephone numbering system.

The two biggest challenges in this proposal are porting existing telephone numbers to a new universal numbering plan, and privacy issues. To get started you will set up interviews with two subject matter experts, an expert on telephone number portability and an expert on IPv6. You will also develop questionnaires for other experts in these two areas.

You will also interview and survey ordinary consumers to see what smartphone users think about the concept. You will devise a stratified sampling strategy to select the smartphone users for interviews and surveys.

1. After some group discussion, prepare interviews, questionnaires, and a sampling strategy to gather information from the SMEs and consumers. For each group, one person should prepare interview questions, three sets. Another person should design three questionnaires. If your group has three people, the third person should specify the sampling strategy.

3. For each group, one person will submit the interview questions, another the questionnaires, and the third (if a group of three) the sampling strategy. Use the alphabetical order of last names as a default mechanism to decide who does interviews, questionnaires, and sampling strategy.
