Assignment 2

This is a group assignment; use your course materials and/or the internet to research and complete this assignment. Chapter 6 in your Text discusses modes of transport. As a group, research and prepare a report on the following topics:

Your group report should be between 750 and 1,000 words (excluding cover page and reference page). Include the following information in your report:

• Identify and describe the company. (5 points) (i.e. Who are they?)
• What services does the company provide? (5 points) (i.e. What do they do?)
• Where does it operate? (What are its main service routes?) (5 points)a
• How big is this company compared to its competition? (10 points)

(What industry rank does it hold? What are the scope of its operations? (i.e. tonnage carried, etc.)

• Who are its customers? What industries does it serve? (10 points)
• What kinds of equipment does it operate in carrying out its operations? (10 points)

Up to 10 points will be awarded for formatting (including grammar, spelling, in-text citations, referencing, clarity and depth of answer), and 10 points for following assignment instructions. This assignment will be marked out 65 points in total and is worth 8% of your overall course grade.

Complete and submit your assignment as a Word document, in Calibri font, size 12, single spaced.

Provide in-text citations and references in your assignment in accordance with APA Conestoga (https://apa.conestogac.on.ca/).

Your group's written assignment submission should begin with a cover page indicating course name and number, section number, group number and names of group members participating in the completion of this assignment. All group members must participate in completing this assignment to receive credit. Students may be asked to provide copies of their individual contribution to this assignment.

Your instructor will provide information on how to submit this assignment, either to an assignment dropbox or by e-mail. If you are requested to submit your assignment by e-mail, the subject line of your e-mail must read: OPER8020-(section number), Group #__, Assignment 2.
