CASE 1 (15 points) Laura, Computer Zone, and Ethics A growing number of American companies are facing age discrimination lawsuits filed by laid-off employees who believe that age was the reason they were laid-off. Lida Strauss was a 49 year-old software project manager when she was laid-off from Computer Zone. Strangely enough, Linda shared that she had received exemplary performance evaluations from her boss prior to being laid-off by the company. Linda and 15 of the other laid- off employees are suing Computer Zone for age discrimination though Computer Zone denies that age discrimination took place. It will be up to the courts to decide the outcome of the case. 31- Identify the ethical issue (5 points) 32- How would you argue Linda's and the other laid-off employees' case in the court?
