Character: Some of the employees are less skilled at working with technology, and may be worried about their ability to master it and do a good job in the new role. You do the following: You explain to your manager your concerns about the impacts to your workgroup, and the need for you to help them work through the Normalization process. You recommend that the broader organizational announcement is modified to acknowledge impacts rather than minimize them. As a result of your concerns, management has also agreed to extend the completion deadlines for the work and the training from 2 months to 6 months. They will work with you and the other managers to schedule the sessions and rollout But now you must manage the people centered impacts of the change. You expect that your workgroup will go through a Normalization process, and that once they've heard the announcement, they will be in the Internalization phase. You schedule a face to face session with your staff to occur immediately after the organizational announcement has been released.
