The Fanning friction factor is 0.065 and the dynamic viscosity of the water is 110-3Pa.s Ignoring all shock losses and calculate the quantity flowing between the reservoirs as well as the nature of the flow.
3.2 Now taking the quantity flowing as 720 litres per minute, determine the diameter of a similar pipeline 30km in length which is to be laid in parallel to the existing pipeline over the last 30km in order to increase the total discharge by 35%. All other pipeline properties remain the same.
