The format of these reports can vary depending on the topic and intended audience, and as such, there is no universally accepted format for an empirical project. As a guideline for future empirical work, we provide a list of common elements of reports. However, it is important to note that in the context of individual projects or careers, it may not be necessary to include all these elements in a report.

An essential skill for writers of effective reports is the ability to be selective. For example, when presenting results from multiple regression runs, it is important to decide which information is most relevant to the intended audience and only include that information in the report.

Additionally, it is important to be honest and open when reporting results, even if they do not align with the initial theory. More detail can be found in the following sessions.
