Overview This week we will be getting some practice sequencing activities and developing a network diagram using one of the recipes below. Chicken Stir-Fry https://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/tyler-florence/chicken-stir-fry-recipe-1906578 1. Mince 2 garlic cloves 2. Remove stems from 1 head of broccoli 3. Slice 1 dozen mushrooms 4. Peel and julienne 3 carrots 5. Dice 14 pound green beans 6. Chop 1 head bok choy 7. Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a saute pan over medium heat. 8. Add garlic and stir. 9. Place the chicken in the pan and brown 4 minutes on each side. 10. Remove chicken from pan 11. Slice chicken into strips and set aside. 12. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a wok over high heat. 13. Add broccoli and carrots 14. Add beans 15. Add bok choy and mushrooms 16. Add teriyaki sauce. 17. Stir-fry quickly until the vegetables begin to soften. 18. Add the chicken strips, combine well and continue to cook for 2 to 3 minutes. 19. Plate and serve immediately.Instructions Assignment: Mapping a Recipe (NOTE ALL DELIVERABLES) Step 1: Choose a recipe from the following list. They all have roughly the same number of steps and are of similar complexity. Just because the recipe lists steps in order doesn't mean they are truly dependent. For example, turning on the oven might be the rst step, but chopping vegetables doesn't depend on the oven being turned on. 0 determines the relationship to any dependencies (FS, 88, FF, SF) 0 DO NOT ADD, COMBINE, OR REMOVE ANY ACTIVITIES. Step 3: Draw a network diagram of your recipe. - The network diagrams can either be generated on the computer, which is done easily enough using MS Word or you can draw it by hand and take a picture of it to share on the discussion board. In either case, they will be partially assessed on presentation. - Pay close attention to the sequencing of activities and their dependencies in your diagram. - Be sure to represent relationships (FS, SS, FF, SF) in the diagram. - Use appropriate connections as well as milestones at either end
