You will be creating a sales presentation in 4 parts and using it to sell a product or service of your choice to a customer in a selling role-play with a family member, friend or significant other the last week of the quarter. Note that you are selling business to business and not selling retail at a mall.
Select Your Product or Service and your Prospecting Methods
Step 1: --Chose a product or service you would like to sell. Pick something you use and know something about. You are a sales representative selling to business or industry; you are not selling to a single retail customer. Your sales territory is Washington, Oregon, and Northern California.
--Write up a half-page description of your product or service tell us about the product or service...What is it? How does it work? What does it do?,etcYou many borrow information from real product/service literature, and/or make up anything reasonable that you want.
Step 2 Chapter 7 Prospecting: How to Find Customers
--Review the 10 prospecting techniques presented in Section 7.4 of our text.
-- Select any two prospecting methods you plan to use.
--Write up a one-half page description of how you will use each prospecting technique to find customers. Include reasons why you believe the prospecting methods you selected will be the best for selling your product or service. (Length-one page)
