P$3.$You are a new hired operation manager on the floor. The first day of your job, you observe that an operator is processing the jobs at the machine in the order that they are received $($i$.$e$.$ FCFS$).$ You ask the operator why it is done that way. The operator answers that that is the way things have been done since $15$ years ago. Using your knowledge of job sequencing rules, please write a letter to the CEO with your support or caveats regarding the decision making rule followed by the operator.

P$4.$ You are in charge of the production plant of a company. Your supplier tells you that their average delivery time is $1$ week. You know the demand has been uncertain lately but the lead time has been historically constant. You remember your course operations management and you attempt to make a recommendation to the CEO so that you have enough stock to account for any eventuality. Write a recommendation letter with the elements you would pay attention to make sure you don$$t run out of stock. Please make your recommendations as clear as possible so that the CEO can understand and implement those suggestions.

P$5.$ You are a newly hired supervisor in the production floor. You found that there is a critical path that involves a series of activities. You decide to reassign those jobs to a different operator. Write a letter to the CEO to convince him$/$her that this operator will be a better fit for the job and what would the company gain with that decision.
