Stella$$s brother mowed the neighbor$$s lawn every week unless it didn$$t rain enough for the grass to grow, in which case he$$d wait a few days and then check the status again. She figured there had to be some connection between inches of rain in a week and hours of lawn mowing$$or rather, money earned from mowing, since he got paid by the hour. She collected weekly data for $8$ weeks using official precipitation reports from the local news station and amounts earned from mowing according to her brother.
