Short language report: Voice onset time

This section requires you to make some measurements in a set of sound files, and to write a short paragraph. Download the zip archive corresponding to your chosen language from eClass, extract the files, and open them in Praat. Answer these questions in a separate document. Then, combine that pdf with this assignment pdf before submission, so that you are only submitting a single combined pdf file.

$84.$ Each of the eight sound files for your language contains a word that begins with a stop consonant. Measure the VOT of each word$-$initial stop, recording your measurements in a table. It is recommended that you pay attention to the waveform of your sound to most accurately determine when each stop is released, and when voicing begins.

$5.$ Describe any trends that you observe in your VOT measurements. Which consonants have longer or shorter VOTs? Do these patterns align with what we would expect about VOT across different stops? There should be at least two trends to discuss here.
