Part 1: Choosing s Statistical Test
For your reply, please explain the steps to take and the questions we need to ask in order to choose a statistical test which matches our research question, hypotheses, variables, data, and scales of measurement.
Write your answer as a guide you would write for yourself and others.
Feel free to include graphics, diagrams, or videos you find useful in deciding how to choose the right statistical methods. See (http://www.pearltrees.com/pag101/choosing-statistical-tests/id15042388 ) for examples.
Explain how to choose among the descriptive statistics, graphs/charts, and inferential statistics we have covered up to this point in the class.
You may also include correlation/regression and non-parametric tests if you like even if we haven't covered them yet.
Part 2 - Repeated Measures Designs - Special Considerations
Please read the following two sources
1)Minitab Blog on repeated measures. (https://blog.minitab.com/en/adventures-in-statistics-2/repeated-measures-designs-benefits-challenges-and-an-anova-example )
2)Journal article on repeated measures designs.(https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6072386/ )
1. List and explain at least 2 ideas from these readings which were new, interesting, or confusing.
2. What does this tell you about how to run repeated measures studies and what to watch out for?
