Step 1: Decide the purpose of your PM system (Developmental, Administrative, or Both)
Step 2a: Choose 5 task statements that you want to be the focus of your PM system. Start with the tasks from O*NET and modify them as needed.
Step 2b: Identify how youd measure performance on each task (Objective, Subjective, Hands-on Performance). At least 3 of the tasks should be rated subjectively.
Step 2c: Identify whether each task would be considered Task Performance, OCB, or Adaptive Performance
Step 3: Select a rating scale for your subjectively-rated tasks: Behavioral Checklist, Graphic Rating Scale, or Behaviorally Anchored Rating Scale. Explain your rationale for this decision. You do not need to actually write scale anchors for the scale, but explain your choice.
Step 4: Choose who conducts the evaluation(s): Principal, students, students parents, peer teachers, school admin staff, other. Explain your decisions.
Step 5: Choose the timing/frequency of when performance will be measured, and how feedback will be shared with teachers.
Part 2: Reflection
What issues do you see with the performance management system you designed? You should comment on (1) possible errors raters might engage in (1 point) and (2) at least 2 factors from the social context (e.g., rater personality, goals, political factors, etc.)(4 points).

Grading Information:
Part 1 is worth 5 points and will be graded based on completion, quality (e.g., writing/grammar), and thoroughness. Part 2 is worth 5 points and will be graded based on completion and accuracy.
