Part 1: Main Entry

Pick: Choose a topic or concept that resonated with you this week. Then, find a reputable website related to that particular area of interest.

Informative Writing: As your Main Post, provide a well-developed exploration of the website, communicating:

• The title of the website and a functioning link (we want to see it too )
• A synopsis of what the website is about (purpose, message).
• A detailed reflection of why you selected the website.

Practice Effective Writing Skills:

• Be clear - the post should be detailed and extensive
• Synthesize - link at least three (3) vocabulary terms from the readings to the information you find on the website.
• Cite - Include references to the specific sections or locations where you obtained the mentioned information, providing the page numbers from which you derived the material.

Here are some topic suggestions to inspire your exploration:

• Cognitive Dissonance: Share a personal situation in which you experienced cognitive dissonance. Describe how the conflict between your beliefs or attitudes affected you and how it was eventually resolved.
• Persuasion: Recall an instance where you were either persuaded by someone or when you attempted to persuade someone else. Use appropriate terms from the textbook to analyze the situation, considering factors such as persuasion techniques, attitudes, and social influence.
• Self-Perception: Reflect on how others perceive you based on the concepts discussed in Chapter 4. Explore whether their perceptions align with your own self-perception. Do you have a consistent sense of self, or are there different aspects of your identity that vary across different contexts?
