Part 1: (Note: Part 1, Each student must turn in a monthly plan ( just for two months) that indicates what topic will be covered each instructional day. The following points will be evaluated: · The plan covers all the essential competencies required in the Virginia curriculum unit. ,QFOXGHERWKFRPSHWHQF\QXPEHUDQGFRPSHWHQF\IRUHDFKGD\ · It takes into account all the scheduled holidays and other scheduled activities. (You should locate the calendar for a local school division.) · The sequence of activities and topics is logical and understandable. · Time is planned for a CTE Student Organization activities. · The plan includes all the classroom activities students will experience during the academic year. · It shows an understanding of the time required to cover the material while ensuring that students can learn in the time scheduled. · You may use any software you like (MS Word has a calendar function). · Include a copy of the competencies found at cteresource.org 

 

Part 2: Each student must write WKUHHlesson plans. The lesson plans must be for the same curriculum as used for Part 1. Each lesson plan must include: · Lesson title · 3-part training objective · Virginia Standards of Learning (SOL) · Lesson content · Instructions for teaching the lesson (methods and proceduresincluding how the SOL will be included) · The evaluation instruments or instructions (including how the SOL will be evaluated.) 3 · References · Training aid requirements and other resource requirements · Attach assignment sheets, handouts, PowerPoint slides, and tests/checklists. 

 

Part 3: Each student must plan a CTE Student Organizationactivity that supports the curriculum. This should not be an activity the State or National CTE Organization has plannedXQOHVV \RXZLOOEHPDNLQJVXEVWDQWLYHDGGLWLRQV)RUH[DPSOHLI\RXZDQWHGWRXVH\RXU&762 V FRPPXQLW\VHUYLFHSURMHFW\RXZRXOGWKHQQHHGWRGHVFULEHZKDW\RXUFKDWSHUZRXOGEH GRLQJWRFRPSOHWHWKHSURMHFW.The activity must include the following information: · A general description of the activity. · A list of things the teacher must do to plan and conduct it. · A list of things the students must do to plan and conduct it. · A list of competencies from the VERSO curriculum students will learn as a result of the activity.
