Part 1: Top 10 List

The first part will be a Group top ten list of rules for drafting a contemporary preamble. Each rule should be no more than one sentence. (No run-on sentences or semi colons.) Think David Letterman top 10 lists--if you don't know who David Letterman is then Google David Letterman top 10 lists.

For the purposes of grading this Discussion Board, each group member must submit at least two (2) possible rules for drafting a contemporary preamble. (Possible 5 points.)

Using the facts below, draft the preamble to the agreement:

In the Module 2 Quiz - Contract Concepts, you were introduced to the cartoon character Ralph--the short, frumpy, bespectacled, eight year old for whom life never goes quiet right. The owner of the rights to Ralph, Ralph Products LP, has decided to move forward with its licensing agreement with Merchandisers Extraordinaire, Inc. The contract will apply to the territories of Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont over a three-year term. They would like to execute this agreement on Christmas day of this year. The parties want Virginia law to apply. Ralph Products LP is a Virginia limited partnership, and Merchandisers Extraordinaire, Inc., is an Oregon corporation.
