Part 1.

Using C programming, Write two functions ("sender" and "receiver") that communicate via external variables. Sender takes a message (a string) and saves it to the external variable secret. The message is less that 100 characters long. The receiver converts the secret to an integer and returns it. Thus the two functions share information without explicitly passing it as parameters.

Part 2

Write a function (named "tally") that returns the sum of the digits in a string. Also the tally should keep adding to this sum with each subsequent call.

Example:

int result = tally("I'm 14 and a half in 3 days"); // result is 1 + 4 + 3 = 8

int result2 = tally("No, in 4 days."); // result2 is 8 (the old sum) + 4 = 12
