Think about your core values as an individual. Tell me about one company in the United States (or internationally) that you would not support because of your core values. What would they have to do/change to earn your business? For example, workers rights are very important to me, and I believe the only way for workers to improve their working conditions and protect their rights is to organize and engage in collective bargaining. For this reason, I avoid spending money with business who are known to engage in union-busting activities, or have by design made it impossible for their workers to unionize (Amazon, Walmart, Most large ecommerce companies, etc.). These companies dominate so much of the retail space that it's nearly impossible to avoid them, but I do the best I can.
