You're quite happy with the details you've gained from this scan, so you think, why not save a report of this that you can provide with your initial assessment spreadsheet, which will include the open ports on each system? That should provide plenty of information for the upcoming meeting. You remember the nmap has the ability to output its scan results to an XML file, which can then be displayed as a prettified HTML report in the browser, fed into a database, or manipulated with a programming language. An HTML report sounds like the ticket for this task, so you decide you will re$-$run the scan with an additional option that outputs the scan results to an XML file. Should be a piece of cake!

Use the Internet to determine the nmap option that outputs the results to an XML file. Following the XML output option, add the line $"$C:MUsers WAdministratorIIDesktopIInetworkReport.Xml$"$ to specify the output should be sent to a file on the Desktop called networkReport.xml$.$

With your new command in hand, execute your scan in nmap. Once completed, double$-$click on the file created in order to display the HTML report in Internet Explorer.
