Part 2 Global & International Perspectives Reflection
Students are expected to demonstrate an understanding on the environmental factors and challenges related to the selected country affecting families, as well as a comparison to the United States, using information researched and gathered in Part 1, and include two sections:
A. Comparison: a reflection on the similarities and differences between the United States and the selected country is expected in relation to family functioning and global perspectives [consider a minimum of 4 topics from part 1 for example: Religion, Family, Education, Socio Political Systems & Structures; you might want to consider variables that surprised you, or which were new to you, within your report].
B. Global Awareness: a reflection on the importance of global awareness and international perspectives is expected highlighting the significance of contextual factors. The text must be used and other COURSE sources (articles and videos) may be used, and cited, for source information. Important Reminder: Citations are required both in-text and a reference list.
Paper Requirements for Part 2 The paper should:

Include a Cover Page & Reference Page

Be a minimum of 1.5 pages/maximum of 2 pages - page count does not include the Cover page or Reference page.

Use APA format; double spaced; 1-inch margins; 12 pt. font Times; include the two section headings (Comparisons & Global Awareness).

Include in-text citations (APA format). Important: must include page or paragraph numbers within the in-text citations, with the exception of the videos.

The format: (Author last name, year of publication, p. number) *or numbers: pp. 23-32

Sources should include the text book and articles used within the course or papers submitted throughout the semester. Additionally, videos used can be discussed within the Reflection and also must be cited appropriately.

Important: Be certain to include a thorough reflection on the importance of global awareness and international perspectives, considering the various aspects (from the 9 research areas within Part 1, chapter overviews, and other course content). This reflection should be an indication of your success in meeting the goals of this Essential Studies Course.
