PART 2: Individual Reflection (10%): An individual reflection is designed to ensure that students have an opportunity to accrue individual marks in this assessment and to learn more about how they perform in team situations where a specific deadline is required. However, this component has less marks than the group presentation as teamwork is the overarching skill being assessed. While everyone in the group will need to work together to produce an effective presentation, in this component you are required to reflect on your individual experience in the following four areas (each section should have its own heading and/or paragraph): 1. Describe your role and participation within the group 2. Outline the learning you have achieved on your specific topic. Explain how the learnings were facilitated by you, or other input. 3. Describe and critically analyse the group work prPART 20cesses. Discuss how effective you were individually and as a group. 4. Explain how and where you will apply your new knowledge and skills so as to improve your contribution to group work in the future. This reflection must be written in the first person. There are some standard methods for completing reflections such as the DIEP model (see the internet for examples), however, in this part of the assessment students are not restricted to a specific model but need to include all four (4) areas outlined above within their reflection. Other format instructions are to be found in the Assessment 1 submission information table above. Note. This is not an avenue to justify your level of engagement against others in the team. This is a personal reflection about your work, your understanding of the topic, group work and how you will apply new knowledge in the future. Students that find they are having difficulty working as a team should discuss this at the earliest opportunity with the lecturer so that a plan can be made to help make adjustments to ensure effective performance is achieved by all team members to complete the required work.
